Objectives are a means to bring the game to an end. 'Calculation of advantage' must take precedence over unconditional engagement.
6-1. Design of the Dragon Soul
Giving up one or two dragons does not mean defeat. The important thing is whether or not you allow the opponent to get the '4th Dragon (Soul).' If you are at a disadvantage early on, it is wise to cleanly give up the first two dragons and use that time to push the top tower or secure the Herald to narrow the gold gap. However, starting from the third dragon, the entire team must join forces and risk their lives to stop them.
6-2. Risk Management for Baron Nashor
Baron is both the "stepping stone for a comeback" and the "cause of a comeback defeat." When attempting Baron, be sure to check three things: 1) Is the enemy jungler dead or far away? 2) Has the enemy used their area-of-effect ultimate? 3) Is your team's health sufficient to withstand Baron's damage and engage in a team fight? If even one of these conditions is not met, a "Baron attempt" becomes a gamble. BJBet
